Our Life......

Our life in a nutshell....or 4,000 pictures. :)
Kael was obsessed with his binkies...obviously a child that has to have 2 binkies in his mouth at a time needs an intervention.  Thanks Mamau.

We spend a lot of time at the park!

It's the only way that we keep sane around here.

 They like to swing.

Kael LOVES to swing.  I think he could swing for hours.

Peyton loves to ride his bike....but hates his helmet...it "chokes" him.

Kael looks a little bored with his ride.

So when brother is not looking...he stole it.
A fight ensued.
But they quickly became friends and fell asleep together!
Ahh! Does my heart good.
They both share a LOVE of Star Wars.
And practically wore out their Star Wars DVD.

Scratch that....an OBSESSION with Star Wars.

They get a little freaked when a random dog thinks that our garage is his new home.

 Kael never stops eating.

Pey had to wear his hat and sunglasses to the store.

Kael HAS to pitch a fit EVERY time he is in his car seat.

They like to hang in the backyard...or lack there of.

Kael found a new love....GUM. This kid can chew it longer than I can...after 40 minutes, he was still chewing it!!

They use the force on me in hopes that it will get them out of timeout.
It didn't. :)
 They go "pod racing" together.

 And have light saber wars!

Light saber wars with Grandpa are a must!

Minga had to make a rescue call on the slide at McDonald's.
My parents came to town for my birthday.  We had to eat at La Hacienda Ranch!
 My mom and I.

Light saber fights with Darth Vader....for family home evening...whatever works, right??

We're 0 for 2 at Supercuts. Not my favorite.  I think I remember specifically not asking for the "Lloyd Christmas". Oh dear.

I couldn't take it anymore.  The "Lloyd" had to hit the road.
A shaved head was much better.

We might or might not have sent this picture to Bryan's mom and sisters claiming that Peyton had made a new friend. They might have bought it.  No worries...it was stuffed!  Peyton didn't want to touch it..."I don't want to touch that thing, it's dirty! It probably has lots of germs."  I guess playing a trick on Mamau and some antibacterial wipes took care of that fear. ;)

 Courtesy of Kael.
Broke everything on the table.  I was mad...and vacuumed up glass for weeks.

Kael managed to fall in the fountains at Bryan's school.  Who is shocked?
 Certainly not me.

And the very same day we allowed them to go fishing....not my idea.

He only almost landed in the pond 6 times.

There OBSESSION with Star Wars continues.

The Disney Store courtesy of Grandma Connie and Grandpa Chuck.
As close to Disneyland as we'll probably get for awhile.
 Sadly.
A ride on the merry-go-round.  Kael decided to sit this one out...it was "scary".  But he enjoyed seeing Peyton and "Minga" every time that they passed.

They both became obsessed with silly string....but they hated that the fun only lasted 5.4 seconds until the can was gone.
Kael can make a mess out of the smallest things.
And loves to color on himself.  This was fun to get off.
 We even visited Oklahoma's own Hillbilly Zoo.  That might have been the name that I gave it. This is the entrance to the zoo...you decide. {more on this one later...i promise}
We said goodbye to lots of good friends. :(

It's been a crazy few months and lots more to come!

Snow....

Why is blogger so weird?  Anyways, I just finally uploaded all 967 pictures from my iPhone to my computer...so I guess I can blog now, right?  I know that we are going way back here....all the way to Christmas but real soon I am going to be longing for February....I never thought I would say that....it's even my birthday month....but it gets real hot around these parts.
The boys loved the snow!  We were only in Utah for 4 weeks and it snowed on our last day!

They made a snow dog with Grandpa.

 Loving the snow dog.

Sledding at Mamau's house.  We had to improvise a little with the snow boots...plastic bags work pretty good!  She even kept her kids' old snow pants and whipped them out.

And her sled that she would go sledding on when she was a little girl!

They expected everyone to run them around like a horse and carriage.  Sometimes that horse would get a little excited and buck them off of the sled!

But they hopped right back on the wagon and went for another ride!

I am not gonna lie, I might have insisted that Jana pull me around the yard a little bit.  I think that every adult in the house took a turn on the sled.  It was a great workout!!

We're Alive....I Promise....

I promise that we are still alive.  I obviously got out of the blogging groove, if you will.  I have to play catch-up....BIG TIME.  And blogger changed....and it is bugging me.......hopefully I figure this out soon!!

Flying....

I have traveled quite a few times with my children and they USED to be pretty good travelers. When I say USED to be...I mean they USED to sleep on the plane...those were the good times. Now Kael has to touch everything and get into everything. Peyton now gets pleasure in teasing Kael to the point of screaming and tears. And he chooses to do this on an airplane!
Ugh.

I learned my lesson this time flying....because my children were awake during nap time
{on previous trips they were sound asleep}....I NEED sippy cups next time for the beverage service! I felt like I was operating a bar. Kael had to take a sip of every drink. It was a little game. I knew that it was only a matter of time before drinks were spilled...and he did....all over my lap. I was glad it was my lap instead of Peyton's who freaks if one drop of water ends up on his clothes. I wasn't so lucky on the flight home....yep...Kael had to spill it all over Peyton....who proceeded to have a heart attack. Fun.

Don't you love when you are squeezed into the teeny tiny plane seats with a child on your lap and the person in front of you decides to lay their seat back all the way taking your free space from -3.4 inches to a -6.7 inches. Then you get to spend the rest of the flight trying to keep your child from playing patty cake with the person's head. Good times.
When the plane hit the ground....I seriously wanted to cry tears of joy.

Our trip to Utah.....

In February I had the opportunity to go to my old job at First National Bank and make some money. My dad got us some buddy passes and we flew to Utah for two weeks.

The boys were excited to take another plane ride. I however, was not so excited about flying solo with two active young boys. It was an interesting flight to say the least.

Bryan's mom was busy doing Valentine's Day flowers so my dad took a couple days off of work to play with the boys while I worked. They had the times of their lives! Once Mamau was done working long hours for Valentine's Day, she took over on the babysitting duty. They went all kinds of places, McDonald's, Petco, Carls Jr., and to the park. They were enjoying their "vacation" from mom and I am not going to lie, it was nice doing something different for a change.

We were gone over Valentine's Day but Bryan didn't disappoint, he sent my favorite....tulips! He also sent from balloons for the boys! He is so sweet.

I love when Kael dresses up like Batman. Ha ha! They love to play dress-up when they go to Mamau's house.

We went on walks to see the chickens. The person who bought my grandma's house put chickens in her chicken coop!

They also put bunnies in her pheasant pens! The boys loved this!

And.....we got rid of the binky! Thanks to Mamau! One day while they were at the park she pretended to throw it to the ducks. Every time that he would ask for it she told him, "That the ducky ate his bebe!" {he calls it a bebe} I dreaded this moment from the moment I knew how obsessed he was with it! It didn't turnout to be so bad after all!
THANK YOU Mamau!

Because both of the boys' birthday's are so close together and they were right around the corner, we decided to celebrate while we were in Utah. We got Star Wars cupcakes...of course!
After we blew out the candles we Skyped Daddy so he would feel included!

Present time! The boys got R2D2 camp chairs, Batmans, and some fun books.

Does this picture surprise anyone? There was cake EVERYWHERE!

Because we were flying standby to Dallas....which sometimes can prove to be a nightmare....we had to fly into Oklahoma City. It is not too far from Dallas, only about two and a half hours. The flight again, was a little interesting.
We were glad to see Bryan!
