Reminiscing with Hostess...

Reminiscing with Hostess....

Today I had one of those moments where by the mere sight of something you are thrust back into the good old days of your childhood. I was standing in the line at Wal-Mart ready to check out and I saw Hostess Sno-balls. Immediately my memory went back to this little store....

Does anyone remember the Hostess Store? The one in Layton in particular. I wonder if it is still open? We used to LOVE going there with my Grandma Helen! My Grandma would always have Hostess goodness at her house waiting for us. She would always hide her Hostess treats in her bedroom closet on an old chair or sitting on top of her old type writer. {funny the things and details that you remember} She would also hide her cereal and chips there as well! :) My grandma always had Ho Hos, Ding Dongs, and Twinkies.

Peyton LOVED his Sno-balls, he cried when they were gone!

Kael thought they were pretty yummy too!

I miss my Grandma and my cousins!

A quiet evening....

Today was a lively day with lots of playing and mess making, but the evening was a different story. Little rambunctious, loud, smiley Peyton got sick. His eyes turned sick and tired and his head and cheeks were rosy.

His poor sick little eyes! I have been fighting a cold the last two days and have had a fever....I guess he got it from me. :( I never knew how much a fever can take it out of you{and my children. i couldn't keep up with them. it felt nice going to bed at 8:30 though!}! It is amazing how exhausted you feel! I was walking around yesterday with a sweater on...pretty sure it was 80 degrees outside. Bryan came home and was immediately sweating in our apartment. I think he was a little disturbed that I hadn't turned the air conditioner on. But I was too cold! I was even thrilled when Kael threw up all over me {he gagged on his antibiotics for his ear infection that he still has 3 weeks later. i guess that's what you get when you are allergic to penicillin, hard to find an antibiotic that works}. I was excited to take a hot shower! Later in the evening last night my fever broke and I was sweating...bad. Fevers stink! So when Peyton fell ill this evening, I knew exactly how he felt. I gave him drugs and a hot bath. It was a quiet evening though. No running around, no laughter, no Kael crying because Peyton is being mean to him. {i think our neighbors must have been wondering what happened to the running around and noise that they usually here on a nightly basis} He even asked if he could go to bed. He must really be sick. Although, he wasn't too sick to ask about the fire alarms before he fell asleep. Lets hope he gets over this one quick, his little brother can't handle not having someone to rough house with!

More fire alarms? This has to be a joke....

Okay, so I thought that we were making some progress on the fire alarm phobia that Peyton now has, until our big ice storm. Bryan was off of school {his school closed down for a total of 5 days} and I was cleaning when the annoying, loud, sound I LOATHE came blaring through our apartment....and scared the crap out of Peyton AGAIN for...I think our count is up to about 6 or 7 times now! Seriously, this apartment complex is terrorizing my child {another reason why we are moving} and driving ME nuts. It is all he talks about, he always asks why the fire alarms go off and are they going to go off again? Really I want to tell him PROBABLY, because either our fire alarms are broken or possessed {i think at this point i am going for the latter of the two} Anyways, back to the story. So Bryan was trying to figure out how to shut them off, but then we realized it wasn't ours going off it was coming from the one on the wall {which meant it was someone else's apartment that was causing them to blare.} They soon shut off, and then we heard the sirens of a fire engine. They pulled into our parking lot and in front of our building! I guess someones pipes froze in another apartment and they burst which set off their sprinklers {totally glad that wasn't us!}. The fireman came and went...no fires here...just a watery mess in someone's apartment!

So you think that the story is over don't you? Oh dear friend of mine, the story is never over! So that VERY evening {around 11 p.m. i believe} Bryan and I were going to bed and our fire alarm starting to beep, {it didn't go off, just that annoying beep every two minutes. i am telling you possessed!} Bryan thought that the batteries were dead, but he couldn't find where the batteries went {he was halfway asleep :)}. So he was going to unhook it from the wall and hide it in a pillow. I joked with him that the apartment probably had a sensor that knows when you unhook the wires in the fire alarm and it will set off an alarm that will send the fire department. We laughed and went to bed. Not 2 minutes later we heard the familiar sound of the fire engine heading our way. Bryan's face was priceless! He jumped up and said,"Do you really think that it set off an alarm!? They are coming for me!" I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe! Bryan was struggling to grab the fire alarm and reattach it! I could hear him yelling, "They turned into our complex!" They were headed straight for our apartment building....and then they turned and headed towards another building. We both laughed so hard. I have never seen Bryan panic like that! He was sure that the Fire Marshall was going to come to our house asking why we had detached our fire alarm! :) Hilarious!
Don't worry though, the fire alarm continued to blare a few more times {LOVE this place and their possessed fire alarms....NOT}

So, where does this leave us?
Back at square 1 people! All progress on our fire alarm phobia is LOST! Peyton is STILL on his doggy bed at the end of our bed. I don't think that I will ever get my room back! {thank you possessed fire alarms!} After Peyton's stunt at the restaurant with pulling the fire alarm and the fire alarms at home...lets just say he is terrified of fireman. Where is next months JOY SCHOOL field trip? The fire station....this could get interesting! :)

Hmmm...I wonder where they get it from?

One great thing about the city of Coppell is, is that they have great parks! This one is so creativley named "The Duck Park". Ha! But seriously, they do have beautiful parks here! One day the weather was nice and we went to the park. Because Bryan can only use half a loaf of bread, claiming that it is dried out by the time you get to half a loaf {whatCheck Spelling?}, we had A LOT of bread to get rid of.
Bryan was especially excited about the seagulls. Direct quote: "These stupid birds aren't protected here! Finally I can peg one without getting in trouble." {sshhh! no one tell bryan's mom about this. she has a tender spot for seagulls. just ask bryan he will tell you the story. it involves a young mens activity, seagull, broken wing, antelope island, and a bishop. i have you living in suspense don't i? ask him sometime, it's hilarious!}.

Getting ready to peg one in the face. He succeeded. Both the boys were laughing hysterically.

Instead of terrorizing seagulls, I and only I was feeding the ducks!

I guess we're done with the seagulls now, {or they just got smart and flew away} back to feeding the ducks!

****

After writing this post I know where my boys get it from {i actually knew before, but this just affrims it} I know where my boys get there mischeivious ways from....their father!

Exhibit A:

Tonight we were getting ready for bathtime and the CHAOS began. As I was finishing checking my emails for the night, Kael came up to me with a glass...and chucked it at my laptop. Of course it hit the "caps lock", "shift", and "c" buttons and snapped them off. Do you know how often you use the left "shift" button and the letter "c"? It is more than you think....trust me. Now onto bathtime. We usually team up during bathtime, Bryan will take one and I will take the other. I took Kael and Bryan took Peyton. As soon as I got Kael undressed Peyton started melting down! Bad. I knew that there was something wrong if he was freaking out this bad because he was taking a bath. I knew that he had to go potty before bathtime. As I was trying to calm him down from screaming and splashing in the tub so I could ask him if he had to go to the bathroom, I remembered Kael. Oh no! A naked baby. Bryan rounded the corner of his room to find him peeing all over the floor. Oh geez. I got Peyton out of the tub and on the toilet to go to the bathroom {which made him calm right down. he is on this weird kick about ME being the only one who can help him go to the bathroom. lets just hope he finishes that soon!}, Bryan got Kael out of the tub and dressed by the time that Peyton finished his business and got back in the tub. I was out doing the dishes and Bryan ran out of the bathroom to go get Peyton's pajamas {it is not far, just in the other room, he was gone 5 seconds} and walks back in and Kael {who at this point is out of the tub and dressed} has put a pillow in the tub and is spashing it around...a pillow people! They are both laughing hysterically. Alright...bathtime is OVER for Peyton and Kael is on his second pair of pajams. After we get them all dressed and ready for bed Peyton wanted to Skype his grandma and show her what he had made at Joy School. While Skyping her, he snuck over his glass of milk....and spilled it.....ALL OVER my keyboard...and the floor....but the KEYBOARD is more important! Okay! Say goodnight because it is bed time, I have had all the fun I could have in a night hour! After he hung up with one grandma he wanted to Skype Mamau {Bryan's mom} NOPE! Bedtime! My poor computer has had a rough night! The mouse won't work now. {I have heard that if you have dropped your cell phone in water you should put it in a bowl of rice and the rice will extract the water out. :) i wonder if i got a HUGE bowl of rice and put the bottom half of my keyboard in it, the rice would extract the milk? Yeah that's not a good idea, the rice would get stuck in between the keys. :) lets just hope it will dry out overnight...with no damage!} of As I was preparing Kael's bottle Peyton opened the fridge {which is a fun new trick, and a kael magnet} Kael picked out a tupperware with pineapple in it and of course the lid is not on tight {or the hulk baby shook it loose like he did with the child proof antacid pills this morning} and pineapple juice went everywhere. Seriously...bedtime is so close...i can taste it. Let me get there before I pull my hair out!

I know that I said earlier this year that I think my boys made a pact in heaven to melt down on me and cry at the exaxt same time...but now I think I have discovered another pact they have made....lets drive mom nuts until she has herself commited! :) Lets just hope it's not one pact of many! :)

Hope you had a less CHAOTIC night day!

:)

We need to move....

Our apartment is great.....BUT.....super PRICEY!

I am not sure if I have written the CRAZY story about moving here or not. So long story short, we WANTED {needed} a house! We looked, and looked, and LOOKED. We found a really nice house, however it was far from campus. We figured that we were used to driving so it wouldn't be that bad. We had all but signed on the dotted line for this house in McKinney and they called us and said that there was competition from another renter. Basically it came down to the landlord choosing between dogs and children. I am sure by now you know that they chose the dogs. What is with people and their dogs in this state? {I kind of understand where they are coming from, I found Peyton scratching my walls with a fork.} Anyways, because our moving truck was on its way to the McKinney address, panic set in. We worked with the school's Realtor and she found our apartment for us. I won't tell you how much we pay because I don't want our eyeballs to jump out of your sockets! Lets just say that now that we have lived here and scouted out the area, we will not be renewing our lease. I think that our downstairs neighbors will also appreciate this. {peyton doesn't know how to walk...he only knows how to run}. Its okay though, apartment living is not really our thing.
The weather has been really nice lately so we have been taking a lot of walks. But....we can only walk around our place {because we live on a stinking highway}. We can drive somewhere to take a walk {and sometimes we do} but that just sounds funny to me.

A little bored with the St. Marin's amenities.

A little brotherly love! Aww....sometimes he does love him!

So this "family" friendly apartment doesn't have a park for the kids....but they do for the dogs {again. what is it with people and their dogs?} Seriously, I would fence them in and let them do laps in the dog run if I wasn't afraid of them getting poop all over their shoes. {the dog lovers in this state also don't know how to pick up after their dogs.}

Peyton found Ozzy! He ran up to this wooden dog and said, "Mom! LOOK! I found Ozzy! He is not with Heavenly Father anymore!" He sure misses my parents dog. He says that he wants to hear him bark again. Sweet.

So we need to move.......
to a place that has a yard {and not a dog park}, that is not sharing walls with anyone {so that my noisy children won't bother anyone}, and a garage {because I pay WAY too much to not have a garage!}

My Day in a Nutshell.....

Most days I wake up an start cleaning from the night before {mostly because i am too tired by the end of the night to clean up after these two tornadoes. after these pictures, you will know why.} Once I am done cleaning up one area, I turn around and find this....

Kael thinks that the DVD cases are books and he gets very upset when you won't {can't} read the DVD to him. After the 1011th time picking the DVD's up, they found a new home at the top of my closet.

Sometimes I find that they have cleaned out my fridge for me.....and thrown it all over the kitchen floor. {cilantro is surprisingly sticky on kitchen floors}. Naughty BOYS!

Sometimes they like to get into stuff they're not supposed to {ie. valentines cupcakes}. Peyton snuck these goodies out of the fridge {pretty sure that the cupcakes melted in the back of my car. 75 degrees here.} Peyton invited Kael to have a Valentine party of their own. When things got a little too quiet {that's a bad sign} I went and crashed their little party. {secretly i was so happy that peyton actually shared with kael}.

I still don't have my memory card so I had to snap some photos with my cell phone camera. My cell phone camera is SO slow {and my children are SO wiggly} so they come out a little blurry. Frosting was everywhere! He was walking around the house with a fist {and mouth} full of cupcake!
This little one had it EVERYWHERE!
{we are talking couch, bed, floor, walls, and sheets}
He was so proud of himself. Even after the bath, he still had a red face!

Luckily Bryan was home for this little adventure, he says that we might as well of had twins! Don't jinx us! JK!

******
Side Story
******
I never knew that taking two children to the doctor's office would be so hard! It was time for Kael to get his immunizations, so we headed off to the doctor's office. When we got into the office, and got the baby all undressed, the nurse asked me for his shot records. Of course.....I didn't bring them into the office with me! I put them in the glove box of our car because I knew that I would need them. So I had to re-dress the baby {put all of their winter gear on. yes. winter gear. it snowed AGAIN last week}. We then had to walk all the way downstairs and across the parking lot to find that Bryan had cleaned out the glove box and it was not there! So we hiked all the way back up stairs and told the nurse that we didn't have it. She said that they could do it without it. {could you have told me that...like...5 minutes ago?} I undressed the baby again, and began filling out all the paperwork. The nurse came in and started doing the measurements...that's when she found the piece of chalk in his mouth. Yes...chalk. They had a little chalkboard in there to occupy the children....and my child ate the chalk. {i am telling you, he will eat ANYTHING except real food} It made me feel like a bad mom{i didn't know that my child ate chalk!}! After we got all the paperwork done, I thought that I could breathe! Nope. Peyton had to go to the bathroom {potty training...ugh}. Are you kidding me? I gave him a pass to go in his pull up, just this once {another bad mom moment}, but he cried and wanted to go to the bathroom! What a good boy. So we made our way to the bathroom, naked child {baby kael} and all. In the bathroom Peyton wanted to become totally naked to go to the bathroom, but I told him that we didn't have time to get him dressed and undressed! Of course he freaked! So I am trying to undress him while he is sitting on the toilet and I look behind me and Kael is fishing in the toilet water {he has been known to do this. of course peyton had partially peed in the water.} Seriously, this is not happening to me. They are BOTH screaming at this point and Peyton was too distraught to finish his business. So back to the room we go {walking past stares from all of the nurses, like "what the heck was going on in there?"} After all the drama, we got his shots and they told me that I had to go down and get his blood drawn. By this time I am sweating, Bad. So we haul downstairs to get the blood drawn. Wow, can this kid scream. All the people in the room were staring at my child screaming his head off {deafening really}! While they were scraping his poor little finger {and i am struggling to hold onto him} I look over and Peyton is watching them scrape Kael's finger and gagging at the same time. The LAST thing that I need is for you to throw up all over the floor! Kael was not happy about blood being drawn {obviously} and was not happy about me putting a coat on him so he started to run away from me and biffed it and smacked his face on the ground. I was DONE! I just wanted to portal jump to my house! I was EXHAUSTED!

I NEVER knew that taking them to the doctor would be so hard!

How do people do this with more than 2 children.
A babysitter?

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day...

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

This morning Bryan surprised me with these this morning....

He woke up extra early to go out and get me some flowers. So sweet! He bought me a sweet card as well.
{p.s. i LOVE tulips!}

I LOVE my husband!

Kael is 11 months and he got his first haircut...

I know that I have said this before {and tried to say it nicely} but I think that I will just come out and say it....Kael is a difficult child. He is a very needy child. Don't get me wrong, we love him to pieces, but he requires a lot of attention. I think mostly because he doesn't feel good. I know one day he will kill me for saying this but he has digestive issues {like never really had a solid poop issues}. Sorry, that was probably too much information! :) We have to take him to a GI specialist at Children's Hospital of Dallas in a couple of weeks. The doctors think that there is a problem with his digestive system. They will have to run some tests so we will see what they find out. I am nervous. He doesn't really like doctors or hospitals since his little bout with them a couple of months ago {it might not have helped that we just took him and he got 3 shots and his blood drawn}. I don't like to see my children hurt {like any mother I am sure} so I usually bring Bryan along and make him be the bad guy. Then I get to be the good guy who gives hugs and kisses when he is crying. But Bryan is busy....so I have to be the one that he looks at in the eyes saying "aren't you going to save me?" I HATE it! Lets just hope their tests are not too invasive!

At 11 months Kael:
Is 31.6 inches long
Weighs 23 pounds
and overall is in the 98th percentile.
{we knew that he was big. he is in 18 month clothes. :)}

To celebrate being 11 months, we got his haircut!
With Peyton I wanted to wait until he was at least 1 years old to get his haircut. I think that it takes away their "baby" look. Kael has a TON more hair than Peyton did so Bryan put his foot down. He couldn't take the mullet and to be honest neither could I! So we took him to get his first haircut! We took Peyton to Great Clips or something and I wasn't impressed {i believe that the first haircut should be a momentous occasion. i know i am weird like that!} So we took him to Hair Diddle Diddle, a little kids barbershop in Flower Mound.

This was the Before picture. I know, I know it doesn't look bad from the front but the back was doing a weird swoop thing. {i guess we could call it the reverse donald trump. the swoop in the back.}

This kid has the best frowny faces! He was not digging this AT ALL! He also was not impressed by the fire engine {peyton was though!}

Maybe if I duck they will leave me alone.
NOPE.

He was so naughty and wiggly that we had to move to a chair. I made Bryan hold him because he is strong {we are talking incredible hulk strong!} Basically, Bryan had to smush Kael's head against his body to get him to hold still!

He calmed down a little bit when he saw Peyton. We tried everything. He even refused to eat a sucker! He was so distraught that she couldn't trim around his ears. She was so patient and nice with him {that's why i like to go to little kid barbershops}

The end.
And here is mom to swoop in and pick up the pieces! He looks so handsome with his new haircut!

Uggh! That was an experience!

My boys......always dramatic!

Civility is not dead....or at least in my book...

Recently there has been a lot of talk about how Civility is now dead{I think that Whoopi Goldburg has a book out about civility being dead...which lets be honest, she is the last person that needs to write a book on this subject matter. Just a personal thought there.} . Which it may be. I think in general our society can be kind of rude. I don't know if I have noticed too much though. Maybe I am just naive, but most of the people that I encounter are pretty nice. Especially, here in Texas. Maybe it's their southern accents, but I find them pretty charming.
Any who, the other night we were out celebrating my birthday {we had to wait until Saturday because everything was closed on Friday, which really was no biggie}. We went to Rockfish. One sound mmmmmm. They have a Roasted Red Pepper Crab Bisque that ROCKS MY SOCKS! Literally, if it was couth I would have licked the bowl. I dream about this stuff! And their Southwestern Fish Tacos...yum! All through the dinner Peyton was staring at another couple eating dinner. I hate when this happens, it is so awkward! This couple was very sweet though. They commented about his red rosy cheeks and said how cute he was. When we were finished, the waiter brought out two bowls of ice cream that the man had bought for the boys. This was the sweetest thing ever! It touched my heart. He smiled at us and said "We have grandkids." We thanked them a thousand times and I couldn't stop smiling. This has never happened where a complete stranger has bought us something. It was so nice. Thanks to that sweet stranger who made my night, what an amazing example of kindness. So in my opinion, tonight at Rockfish, I realized that civility is indeed not dead {at least in my world}.
:)

Kael enjoying his ice cream.

Peyton enjoying his ice cream.

The sweet stranger in the background. :) I couldn't photo his wife, I didn't want to be creepy! :)

Birthdays...

Friday was my birthday....and I don't know how I feel about it. Not necessarily because I am turning 26, or I am worried about being older....but it was just a blah day. Perhaps it was because we spent part of it on snow packed road with crazy Texans who "think" they can drive in the snow {not all of them are bad...just teenagers and people driving Infinitys} trying to get Kael to the doctors office for his 90th ear infection since he has been born. Or that Peyton was now sick as well and that meant that I had been couped up in the house for pretty much 4 days with 2 sick children. Or that everything was closed because of the snow {which meant all restaurants except McDonalds....hmmm should I eat McDonalds or should I cook on my birthday....I think I will cook.} Or that my license is now expired because the DMV has been closed for count them...4 days! Needless to say Bryan knew that he had to brighten my day a little so he took Peyton for a little "drive" and they came home with a card and a cake. When your little boy picks out your birthday card all by himself,you get a card like this.....

....which was the best card that I could ever ask for. {Notice that this is a card for a grandson...hee hee!} It doesn't matter, this was from his sweet little heart! This was a game changer...this made it a GREAT birthday!

Thanks Bryan, Peyton, and Kael. I love my sweet boys.

Bryan's White Coat Ceremony ...

Bryan's White Coat Ceremony...

{Sorry that the pictures are bad....not great lighting.}

The student body taking the oath.
There is about 100 students in the class.

Peyton found a new girlfriend, Claire. He went right up and kissed her on the lips! The people sitting behind us were laughing so hard. Claire is the daughter of one of Bryan's good friends Jeff.

Bryan getting his white coat.

Bryan didn't know I was going to be so close to him!
I surprised him!

Why is every baby on earth magnetized to stairs? I don't know, but they can spot them from a mile away! You can bet we spent a good chunk of the time keeping Kael away from the stairs.

Trying to take a picture of the whole class. Whose idea was this anyway?

There is the side of Bryan in the middle row.

Thank goodness that my mom came to help!
I was going crazy chasing after the kids. Jeff's wife, Krista has 3 kids under the age of 4. She had her hands full! Bless her heart. They have the cutest little family. They are from Snowflake, AZ. They are members of the church and it has been fun to get to know them!

Bryan, Jeff, and Jared. BFF's 4-ever! Just kidding! Bryan would kill me if he knew that I wrote that! Good thing he doesn't read blogs!

Family picture attempt #1

Family picture attempt #2.
Oh...who cares!

Bryan, Grandma, and Kael.
Mamau was sad that she couldn't come and we were sad she couldn't be here! We could have used her hands! :)

So handsome!

I am so glad that he has finally started!

Afterward we had a yummy dinner at Cheddar's. That place rocks my socks!
It was a great night!

Not a Fan....

Potty training...one word...YIKES!

I am going to be honest, I have absolutely dreaded this day since the day he was born! We have tried a few times to potty train, but he has screamed bloody murder every time we sit on the potty. I didn't want it to be too traumatic for him so we decided to wait. On Saturday Peyton asked if he could wear his underwear. I was a little hesitant at first because I had a large to-do list and didn't think that it would work that day. But....I was impressed that he asked me to wear underwear. So we decided to give it a try. The morning went great, he peed 3 times in the toilet! We had to go to get Kael's haircut {which was interesting, another post about that soon}, Bryan's haircut, and to the grocery store. While we were waiting in the car while Bryan was getting his haircut Peyton looked at me and said, "Mom, do you think that they have a toilet inside?" I was so impressed that he asked me that and I also panicked...Kael was asleep in the car and Bryan was getting his haircut. I ran into the store real quick and luckily Bryan was done, he ran Peyton to the bathroom and he peed! I was so excited! He then had a couple of accidents at the barbecue we were at, but I was still impressed!
On Sunday he struggled. He went a few times but had a few accidents. On Monday he woke up and decided that he wasn't going to wear underwear and that he wanted to wear a diaper because they were more "fun". I pretty much told him tough and made him wear underwear which was followed by him crying for 3o minutes about wearing underwear. He did go on the toilet though which was good. He even tinkled a little and I was so excited. My phone beeped and I ran to get it {20 seconds...literally} and I came back and Kael was "fishing" in the toilet in between Peyton's legs! In the pee water! I was dying! I quickly washed Kael's hands with soap and turned around and Peyton was soaking his foot in the toilet. Seriously? Seriously. This was not happening! It was only one o'clock and I was exhausted! I hate the toilet! Peyton doesn't want to use it and Kael thinks it is just some big bowl of watery fun! I keep the lid down and the door shut but Peyton knows how to open doors and lift the toilet lid. So countless times this week I have found them playing in the toilet!
P.S. I think that I will be sending my 5 year old to Kindergarten in diapers. When he decides he doesn't want to something he digs his heels in and doesn't give in! Ugh!

It's Cold Folks.....

It is SO cold! I can't believe how cold it is! Saturday it was 75 degrees and we were barbecuing! Now it looks like this......
This is the street outside of our apartment. It is usually very busy ALL day...but it was deserted today!

Last night it started to rain really hard. Then a cold front moved in and brought arctic air to Dallas. The rain turned into freezing rain and our windows were covered with freezing water. The freezing water pelted the windows for about three hours. It pretty much kept Kael and I awake! It then turned to snow and covered the 1/2 an inch of ice that was already frozen to the ground. Everything was closed and school and work was canceled!

Last night we went to the grocery store to make sure that we had what we needed in case we were iced in for a few days...which I am thinking we are going to be! :) It was mad panic at the grocery store! There were no parking spots and people were in line all the way down some aisles! It was crazy. But I am glad we went! You don't want to be without formula!

Bryan got to stay home from school, which was lucky for him because he had a test...so now he gets a couple extra days to study! His school also canceled class for Wednesday! The roads are still horrible. All day they were broadcasting pictures of the freeway and all of the wrecks. They were showing a semi-trailer sliding down the freeway. Its wheels weren't turning but it was still moving. They followed him for two minutes and he didn't stop once. It was incredible! The wind has been howling all day. Some of the gusts have even shaken the windows. The wind chills are below zero. People down here are not used to that kind of weather! It is the coldest it has been in a decade! It is freezing outside, especially with the humidity! Bryan had to run to the car real fast and said the sidewalks and parking lot were covered in ice. We may be inside for awhile{at least I got my taxes done...woot!}! I have listened all day to people outside on the roads spinning their tires because they are stuck. Not fun! It is not supposed to be above freezing until Friday afternoon! Happy Birthday to me! I was hoping it would be warm on my birthday so that we could do something fun!
The Superbowl is in Dallas this weekend! Hopefully it will be warm!
