I must say that the 4th of July is my favorite holiday. I love it because 1) it is summer 2) I really love parades (even though my husband despises them) 3) I love getting together with family and friends 4) I LOVE fireworks. Bryan and I actually met on the 3rd of July six years ago. It was actually when the 4th of July was on a Sunday so we celebrated it on Saturday the 3rd. We worked together at FNB for six hours and the rest is history!

My mom decided to kick off the holiday with a breakfast in the morning. My Grandparents came over to eat yummy fruit, french toast, eggs, and bacon. This was our first "party" on the deck.
Kael and Claire enjoyed themselves. They are about five months apart. My Grandma Norene is holding
Kael.

My mom bought the boys some 4
th of July shirts to wear.
Kael's says "Born In 2010".

Claire and Grandma Connie!

Peyton and I at the
Kaysville Parade. This parade is a
BIG deal in the city of
Kaysville. Bryan thinks that it is so overrated, which it might be but you can't resist tradition. Peyton was so afraid of the Fire Engines last year. Now he is fascinated with them. I could tell that he was still a little scared of the noise but I told him that they were friendly and that he should wave to the nice people inside of them!

Still waving at the Fire Engines. There were so many of them from different cities.

Marie, Matt, and Claire were able to come up for some of the festivities!

Bryan, Peyton, and I at the parade. It is rare to have
Pey in a picture...he moves to much...so our pictures turn out like this most of the time!
Kael decided to hang out with Grandma in the shade. It was so nice outside. It only reached 81 degrees! It was the coolest 4
th of July ever!

This is the nicest picture I think that I have of Peyton. His face looks so sweet and innocent! He was holding Bryan's hand because he was a little scared of the ambulances. His favorite part of the parade was the "crowd control" four-wheelers. He kept saying, "I want to go on that" as they passed by.

Grandma with her favorite boys. I believe that Peyton is shooting the camera....oh boys....aren't they fun?

After the parade, we went to Bryan's parents house. The boys played on a splash pad in the backyard with Aunt Jana and
Mammow!

Sorry for the blurry picture, Peyton is jumping up and down splashing in the puddles!
Kael loved getting his feet wet and playing with his brother. It is funny,
Kael will just watch Peyton all day long. He watches him go from one thing to the next. It is so cute. Sometimes he gets so excited and moves his arms and hands. I can tell that
Kael would love nothing more than to get down and run around with Peyton. I know that they will be great little buddies!

While the children played in the water, Bryan and I were sanding down a coffee table that I bought off of
KSL for $40.00 dollars. We wanted to refinish it in a different color. The original color was disgusting. I will post about this later!

That evening of course we went to the
Kaysville Fireworks at Davis High. We met up with Josh and Hilary Armstrong. Josh was Bryan's
bestfriend in high school and Hilary was my
bestfriend in high school. They met when Bryan and I were dating...fell in love...and have been married five years and have a beautiful little girl named Avery. Hilary's parents live right by the high school. We were able to park in their driveway and walk to the school. They had a fire engine right by where we were watching the fireworks.
Pey saw it and immediately had to go see it. The firemen were so kind, they let the little kids walk through the fire engine. Peyton thought he had died and gone to heaven. He talked about it the rest of the night and the next day!

Our little family at the fireworks!
Kael stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa. He is very jumpy and doesn't like loud noises! We knew the fireworks would be no good with him!

Peyton couldn't believe his eyes! He liked the fireworks but was a little bored with them after about ten minutes. All he wanted to do was go home and do his fireworks...which consisted of pop-its. He LOVED them. I think I bought like ten boxes of them. He thought they were so funny!
I LOVE this holiday and can't wait for it to come around each year. Next year maybe we will be in Texas or maybe we will come to Utah...we will have to see!
